TripGuideDaily started as a shared notebook between two reporters who were tired of guides written from press trips and stock photo libraries. Today it's a small, independent newsroom covering the world one honest trip at a time.
A newsroom built around a simple rule
TripGuideDaily launched in 2019 with one rule that hasn't changed since: nobody writes about a place they haven't been in the last eighteen months. That rule has cost us speed — we can't cover every trending destination the week it trends — but it's the reason readers trust our maps, our restaurant picks and our warnings about which viewpoints are actually worth the hike.
What began as three writers covering Southern Europe has grown into a network of contributing editors across five continents, but the founding rule still applies to every byline on this site.
Reporting first, publishing second
Every guide goes through the same process: on-the-ground research, a fact check against current prices and opening hours, and an editorial pass that cuts anything that reads like filler. We separate advertising from editorial clearly and never accept payment in exchange for a positive recommendation.
We also revisit older guides. If a restaurant closes or a trail changes, we'd rather update the story than leave outdated advice live.

Editorial coverage is never for sale. Sponsored content, when it exists, is clearly labeled and kept separate.
Usefulness
